Today, September 22nd, is Hobbit Day, a holiday that fellow lovers of Middle-earth celebrate in honor of Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday!
I’m currently rereading The Lord of the Rings and reading the prologue and opening chapters again reminded me of the Hobbit custom of giving other people a present on your birthday.
So since they can’t give you all presents for their birthday, I’m giving away some gifts on Bilbo and Frodo’s behalf!

Tolkien Treasures
This Tuesday, The Mythmakers, a new graphic novel biography of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, will release. This book follows the remarkable story of their friendship and creative fellowship, and how each came to write their masterworks.
