My holiday plans every year include an annual read of "The Hobbit" and LOTR, beginning after Halloween (prefaced this year by a re-read of "The Silmarillion"). I'm finishing up The Hobbit now. This is one of my favorite yearly traditions for myself; I love winter and cold weather and dark evenings, and there is little better in my view than curling up on the couch with all the Christmas trees lit in our living room, sipping on a good dark beer, and returning to Middle Earth. What a pleasure it is.

I'm looking forward to the holidays, especially now that I have little ones. This year, I'm looking forward to our eldest (who is a toddler) gaining a little more understanding of what Christmas is about, sharing our first Christmas with our baby, creating new traditions as a family and baking (and sharing, if they're any good) some new recipes I've been eyeing.

I’m looking forward to the holidays this year. I’m kind of stoked about it actually & celebrating with my guys. We tend to watch all the Star Wars and LOTR movies around the holidays, so it should be pretty lit.

Awesome! Glad to hear that you're looking forward to them. Yeah, we usually watch LOTR around the holidays too! I love that you add Star Wars also Do you have a particular order you watch them in or just pick up pretty much anywhere?

So glad to hear that she is doing well and that you've been drawn closer in prayer as a result. I will pray for the long road ahead for you both.
