A new History of Middle-earth set releases in 2024, a stirring rendition of the Rohan Theme (Riders of Rohan), Tolkien and Lewis items go on display, and the Fellowship as Penguins! PLUS: News from the Mark
Your opinion is noted, Vulkan. I appreciate it and have no plans to ever make politics a main focus of this Substack. LotR and Tolkien will always be front and center. *However*, as for the occasional reference like the first 'News from the Mark' joke today, I'll make no promises about completely avoiding the topic. So just something to be aware of!
I agree, please lay off on the politics. Plenty of that crap all over. Not just for that reason, but you’re going to alienate lots of readers and I enjoy your stuff S a Tolkien fan. Not if I have to real around political commentary. Thanks for your stuff.
Like I said to Vulkan, this will always remain a newsletter focused on Tolkien and LotR. It's not a political newsletter and won't become one. However, if a reader can't handle a gentle joking reference every few months, then perhaps this isn't the newsletter for them. I'm sorry, but I won't be self-censoring here. I share what I enjoy and find funny or interesting and people are free to stay and enjoy it too or to walk away at any time, no hard feelings. I hear your input it but won't be changing who I am and my content strategy because I'm afraid a few people might not be able to handle an occasional reference to politics that they might not like as much as everything else they read here. Thank you for your opinion, though.
Oh, I really didn't need to know about those box sets...
hahaha, I know the feeling! I feel the same way 😅
Please please please keep real life politics out of this SubStack. It’s so amazing and I don’t want it tainted by real life shit.
