We come to it at last... The great battle of our time

I wish it need not have happened in my time, though

This week our household was besieged by the flu, which I am only slightly exaggerating as “the great battle of our time.” The past few days went a little something like this, which came to me in a fever dream:

When you’re the last one standing and things are at their lowest point:

But then everyone else is slowly getting better and you’ve somehow made it through without getting sick???

Just kidding you’ve got it too now

We’re all on the mend, but it means no paid subscriber essay this week. The tentative plan is to shift that into next week and and also do the Five Faves (which have a snazzy new title I’ll be debuting the next time I send them out!). Whether that ends up happening, more content coming to you all next week one way or another once we’re all healed up.
